Dear Grizzly Families,
We are proud to share some exciting news - Glick Middle School has earned Silver status from the California PBIS Coalition for the second year in a row!
What is PBIS?
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a school-wide framework that promotes positive behavior, strengthens school climate, and reduces disciplinary issues. It focuses on proactive strategies for teaching and encouraging positive student behavior to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
This year, Glick Middle School has built and sustained a strong PBIS program. You may have heard your student talk about the Big 5 Tickets, the student store, or the Care Bear Wednesday drawings. These fun and meaningful incentives reward students who demonstrate excellent character in line with our Big 5 Expectations:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Be Self-Controlled
Be Kind
We are so grateful to our staff, students, and families for supporting this important work. Your partnership has been key to our success!
Attached is our 2024–2025 PBIS Annual Summary, which includes more details about this year’s progress and goals for the upcoming year.
